Weekly Question – Best Tie-In Comic 06/30/16

So when I said ‘tie-in’ comics (see that hyphen there) I had a specific thing in mind. Of course, it would mean to most a toy or movie or TV show that came first then was followed by a comic, but I also meant things like this. Taking a corporate mascot, like the Kool Aid Man, and giving him his own comic.

This, along with this next one I think were issued to every suburban kid in the 80’s and 90’s. What about re-purposed comics that you got at Pizza Hut? Needed something to read while waiting your turn to play Joust, I guess.

But what about promotional comics created from whole cloth to raise awareness of drugs or the dangers of smoking? This one brought us the greatest Titan no one ever knew, the Protector!
