Weekly Question Indie Bracket Round One 01/15/15
With Batman being the first person to advance to the second round, let’s move onto the indie bracket. Just like before, we start with the number one seed, representing the Walking Dead, Rick Grimes:
I very easily could have chose Carl as my representative from the Walking Dead but that tale has not been told…yet.
He takes on the number nine seed, an indie stalwart who has been around for over thirty years, Groo the Wanderer:
The barbarian creation of Mad Magazine artist Sergio Aragonés even has a brand new series debuting this week! Can overtake the top indie seed? Make your case heard. The person with the most votes moves on to the next round.
Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there!
Next week, we start the Marvel bracket!
Never read Walking Dead. no desire to ever start. go Groo!
Do you really think that this bracket business isn’t going to boil down to Batman vs. Spider-man? Just post that next week, and get back to the question of the week. Thank you.
It’ll actually be one Marvel, one DC and one indie character in the finals. The normal weekly questions will be back as interludes between rounds
I love the Walking Dead but poor Rick ran into the only person more brainless than a splattered zombie, Groo. What is not to love.Nearly 30 years of chaos, destruction and some of the same old jokes from issue one. My only fear is that I will never be able to meet Sergio in person to thank him for one of the best, most nonsensical, check your brain at the door comics ever created.
I even tried to stuff the ballot box to push Groo further ahead but damn that technology.
Hooray for Groo! let the cheese dip flow!
i love a good 3 way dance
