San Diego Comic Con is upon us. The Juggernaut of comic book conventions. The one where everything happens. Many people have lamented over less actual comic announcements happening at SDCC with more focus to non-comic related properties (Hello, Twilight!) To me, I’m OK with anything that gets them in the door. Especially now with both Marvel and DC having such heavy presence on TV and the silver screen, there will be tons of those sort of announcements. Where the concern comes in is the actual comic announcements getting overshadowed by all this. Which is why companies like BOOM! and Image went and made their announcements before the convention actually began. So this week question to you is what do you want to see announced at SDCC? A new Star Wars book from Marvel? The return of the pre-52 DC Universe? Official word on what Warner Bros is doing with the DC movie universe? A Moon Knight TV show? Weekly Question 07/03/14 #LBHQuery...

Let’s start of by saying Captain America is awesome! I think he gets a bad rap for being too patriotic, or too much of a boy scout, like Superman. Does this this look like a ‘boy scout’ to you? I’m guilty of this myself as I didn’t start reading Cap until the mid 90’s, right before the ‘Heroes Reborn’ Marvel project happened. Since then, Steven Rogers has gotten a lot more play in the Marvel Universe, but it wasn’t until the Ultimate Universe where we got this, almost career defining moment. Not my favorite portrayal of the character, but based on his, and the rest of the Avengers reimagining in the Ultimates, we ultimately were lead right into the Marvel cinematic universe, most recently, this year’s Captain America: the Winter Soldier. So the question this week to you, gentle listener, what is your favorite Captain America story? Is it from the Ultimate universe, is it from the classic Mark Gruenwald run from the 80’s or something more current? Just leave your choice in the comments below or shoot us a tweet with the hashtag #LBHQuery. If my entire household had a vote, it’d be the video...
Weekly Question 06/25/14 #LBHQuery...

This week’s question involves possibly the most popular comic book character, the most recognizable of them all: BATMAN! Batman has been around for 75 years (big celebration coming from DC Comics next month) and outside of some film serials from the 40’s, for the longest time, the above visage of Adam West as the Caped Crusader was all most people knew of Batman. All that changed this week 25 years ago. Perhaps inspired by Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, the first outside of comics media appearance of Batman starred Michael Keaton as the aforementioned Dark Knight and the scene stealing performance by Jack Nicholson as the Joker. From there, the blitz began. Batman was EVERYWHERE! Toys, cups, shirts, even haircuts and the roll has not stopped since. Batman has gone onto star in multiple movies and animated series as well. Some would argue that Batman’s appearances in the recent “Arkham” video games is his most successful and popular portrayal. But our question to you, gentle listener/reader, is OUTSIDE of comics, what is your favorite take on Batman in popular media? Just tweet us with your answer using the hash tag #LBHQuery. Weekly Question 06/18/14 #LBHQuery...

As will be the procedure going forward, all our weekly question will not be contained to the show or Twitter! We’re bringing it to the site! Since the inception of Green Lantern, that was all there was. Sure, when things changed from the Golden Age to the Silver Age and from Alan Scott to Hal Jordan, they added thousands of new Lanterns, but all just one color: Green. Then in 2006, that all changed: After Sinestro was brought back by Geoff Johns as the main villain in Green Lantern’s universe, a second color Corps was added, Yellow in the widely successful Sinestro Corps War event. Then another, and another and so on. There was a Corps and rings for every color on the spectrum. Then we added the Black and White Lantern Corps with events to go along with them. All of these Corps had spanning rosters, tons of merchandising and cameos by the biggest and brightest in the DC Universe. This concept was so popular, when DC rebooted their entire line in 2011 with the New 52, outside of Batman, Green Lantern was the other property relatively unchanged. And that’s the question to you: Who is your favorite ring bearer? Is it cookie cutter Hal as a Green Lantern? Is it the above the three panels when Batman was a member of the Sinestro Corps? Just tweet us with your answer using the hash tag #LBHQuery. Don’t like or have Twitter? Need more room to explain your choice? Just leave a comment on this post! Weekly Question 06/12/14 #LBHQuery...

Since many of you may be coming to the show (and the site) for the first time, we decided to post our weekly question on the site. NOT because Todd & Leonard forgot to mention it during the show. One of the news topics we discussed on this week’s episode was the rumors from the DIRT SHEETZ about Marvel cancelling Fantastic Four in preparation for the pending movie reboot from Fox. To me, this is crazy! One of the original Marvel superhero books, no longer being published? Only guest appearances in other books? Is this something that could happen? Is this something that should happen? And that’s the question to you: is there a property, whether it be Marvel, DC, Dark Horse or other, that could stop being published in their own books? Is it due to over exposure? Have they overstayed their welcome? Or do they just rub you the wrong way? Just tweet us with your answer using the hash tag #LBHQuery (thanks David Kincannon!). Don’t like or have Twitter? Need more room to explain your choice? Just leave a comment on this post! We’ll compile up all the answers and talk about them on next week’s...
