Here’s a more straightforward matchup. No problems finding these two icons together as the number seven seed, Wonder Woman takes on the number eight seed, Hal Jordan the Green Lantern: Wonder Woman wins, 9 to 6 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Just to keep track, here’s the current standings in the DC Bracket: Next week, the final second round indie match up that months ago would have much more weight, but now, I have much more confidence in the...
Weekly Question DC Bracket Round One Match Eight 06/11/15...

The home stretch, at least for the first round. DC gets to kick off the end of the first round and again, two folks have not appeared in the same book, let alone the same panel! First off, the number eight seed, arguably the most recognizable of all Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan! He takes on the number sixteen seed, a man who I don’t think I have ever read a story about (at least in this guise) Jason Todd, the Red Hood! Hal Jordan wins, 14 to 4 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, the final first round indie match up, this time it’s Red vs. Red and maybe the showdown I have the most stake...
Weekly Question DC Bracket Round One Match Three 02/19/15...

Last time was a blow out. This time, maybe not. We’re back to DC Comics and it’s two characters who are right outside the top tier, the big seven of the DC Universe. First up, the number three seed, the current Batgirl in the new 52: Now, I say the current Batgirl but avoid using her nom de plume, her shoot name if you will. If you read this week’s Batgirl #39, you’ll understand why I’m being cagey. And she does battle with my personal second favorite Green Lantern (behind Sinestro, of course) and current leader of the Red Lanterns, the number ten seed, Guy Gardner: You have until 9pm EST next Tuesday to let your voice be heard! Batgirl wins, 23 – 22 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, round three begins as we have the third round of the indie bracket. Very interested to see how that one will...
Weekly Question 09/23/14 #LBHQuery...

We here at Longbox Heroes read a lot of comics. Just wait until you see this week’s Pull Post, And in that, we come across books that we run hot and cold on. There are books that will be perennially on our lists, for me Spider-Man, for Todd, anything with a barbarian in it. But there are times when a character we love just isn’t doing “it” anymore. I became a Captain America fan back in the pre-Heroes Reborn world when Mark Waid took over the title and LOVED it! And since then, every time a new creative team comes on to Steve Rodgers’ adventures, I give it a try. Currently, Cap is cold for me, and that’s not a frozen in a block of ice pun. Other times, it’s a change in direction of the book. You’ll see plastered across the cover “All-New! All-Different!” or “A Bold New Chapter in so and so’s Life!” and a lot of times it’s writer looking to make his mark after taking over a widely successful book or the existing creative team trying to shake things. Sometimes it works, sometimes it causes people to head for the hills. Where am I going with this? What is the current book that you wish was better? Just tweet at us with the hashtag #LBHQuery or if you need more than 140 characters, tell us below and we’ll talk about it all on next week’s...
Weekly Question 06/18/14 #LBHQuery...
posted by Joe
As will be the procedure going forward, all our weekly question will not be contained to the show or Twitter! We’re bringing it to the site! Since the inception of Green Lantern, that was all there was. Sure, when things changed from the Golden Age to the Silver Age and from Alan Scott to Hal Jordan, they added thousands of new Lanterns, but all just one color: Green. Then in 2006, that all changed: After Sinestro was brought back by Geoff Johns as the main villain in Green Lantern’s universe, a second color Corps was added, Yellow in the widely successful Sinestro Corps War event. Then another, and another and so on. There was a Corps and rings for every color on the spectrum. Then we added the Black and White Lantern Corps with events to go along with them. All of these Corps had spanning rosters, tons of merchandising and cameos by the biggest and brightest in the DC Universe. This concept was so popular, when DC rebooted their entire line in 2011 with the New 52, outside of Batman, Green Lantern was the other property relatively unchanged. And that’s the question to you: Who is your favorite ring bearer? Is it cookie cutter Hal as a Green Lantern? Is it the above the three panels when Batman was a member of the Sinestro Corps? Just tweet us with your answer using the hash tag #LBHQuery. Don’t like or have Twitter? Need more room to explain your choice? Just leave a comment on this post! We’ll compile up all the answers and talk about them on next week’s...
