This year with the Weekly Question has been an experiment. An experience that has yeilded some suggess (spelled wrong on purpose) but some people predicted it would be too easy to predict the finals. The other two brackets ended up surprising me, at the very least, but leave it to DC to keep things even. The finals of the DC bracket sees the number one seed, Batman take on the number five seed, Superman! Batman wins 16 to 5 And with all the Dark Knight 3 talk, I had to include one of my favorite, most inconic images of all time featuring these two: Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Just to keep track, here’s the current standings in the DC Bracket: Next week, it the finals of the indie bracket and I will do my best to make sure the fix isn’t...

Here’s a more straightforward matchup. No problems finding these two icons together as the number seven seed, Wonder Woman takes on the number eight seed, Hal Jordan the Green Lantern: Wonder Woman wins, 9 to 6 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Just to keep track, here’s the current standings in the DC Bracket: Next week, the final second round indie match up that months ago would have much more weight, but now, I have much more confidence in the...

Do you know how difficult to find a picture of Superman’s butt? The answer is very. Pics of Dick Grayson, our number six seed, are a dime a dozen: Superman, our number five seed, has a much cleaner online footprint: Superman wins, 10 to 5 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Just to keep track, here’s the current standings in the DC Bracket: Next week, back to the indies as those who do battle are also movie and TV...

Every hero fights every hero. From the first time they meet to every time there is a slight disagreement. This seems to be the case more often than not in the DC Universe, especially in the last few years. Which leads us to the first match up of the second round of the DC bracket as the number one seed, Batman, takes on the number ten seed, Aquaman! Batman wins, 20 to 18 How much better would all our lives be if THIS was the Batman/Aquaman relationship we all knew as ‘canon.’ OUTRAGEOUS! Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! And just to get you ready, here’s what the DC bracket looks like! Next week, we look to the second round of the indie bracket with another sure thing taking on another upset from the prior round. Who will move...

The home stretch, at least for the first round. DC gets to kick off the end of the first round and again, two folks have not appeared in the same book, let alone the same panel! First off, the number eight seed, arguably the most recognizable of all Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan! He takes on the number sixteen seed, a man who I don’t think I have ever read a story about (at least in this guise) Jason Todd, the Red Hood! Hal Jordan wins, 14 to 4 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, the final first round indie match up, this time it’s Red vs. Red and maybe the showdown I have the most stake...

Found it! And by ‘it’ I mean pics of the next match up in the same panel! From the same issue, apparently, as the number seven seed, Wonder Woman, takes on the number fifteen seed, Swamp Thing! Now, granted, Swampy is getting his butt kicked in both panels: Will this be a sign of how this battle will turn out? Wonder Woman wins, 11 to 6 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, the seventh indie battle sees Valiant’s only representation on the list taking on, at least in my son’s opinion, the epitome of a tandem that has been around nearly 30...

And I have been proven wrong. So, we are back to the tournament and we are nearing the end of the first round and Marvel and DC, every match up has brought a plethora of images featuring both characters, even Aquaman and Harley Quinn! But for our next match up, the number six seed Dick Grayson (Nightwing) taking on the number fourteen seed Oliver Queen (Green Arrow), this is the best I could find: Now, I could have gone through the mountains of books I have, maybe have found something else and scanned it myself, but I’m a lazy, lazy man. Dick Grayson wins 9-8 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, we head back to the indies with the very different characters, one almost a savage, the other, sharing a surname with one of the combatants...
Weekly Question DC Bracket Round One Match Five 04/02/15...

Three years ago, this match up would have never happened. While both characters are DC Comics properties, one was firmly in the main DCU, the other in the dark and dank world of Vertigo. Our next match up sees the number five seed, Superman do battle with the number thirteen seed, John Constantine: They never really had any knock down, drag out battles in the last three and a half years, but a lot of yelling at each other in last year’s Trinity War. Superman wins 15-11 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, one of the longest running (pun intended) comic book properties takes on a hugely successful character who has graced the silver screen and TV as...

So, in doing my research for this next match up, I was reminded of many things, but we’ll get there. The fourth match up for DC Comics sees the number four seed, Damian Wayne take on the number twelve seed, Supergirl: And that research reminded me how much interaction these two characters had: It also reminded me how great some of that RIGHT before the new 52 stuff was. And hey, remember when Nick Spencer (Superior Foes of Spider-Man, Ant-Man) was writing Superman family books? Ah, what could have been: Supergirl wins, 28 to 13 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, round four continues as we moved back to indie books as two ladies from completely opposite ends of the spectrum face...

Last time was a blow out. This time, maybe not. We’re back to DC Comics and it’s two characters who are right outside the top tier, the big seven of the DC Universe. First up, the number three seed, the current Batgirl in the new 52: Now, I say the current Batgirl but avoid using her nom de plume, her shoot name if you will. If you read this week’s Batgirl #39, you’ll understand why I’m being cagey. And she does battle with my personal second favorite Green Lantern (behind Sinestro, of course) and current leader of the Red Lanterns, the number ten seed, Guy Gardner: You have until 9pm EST next Tuesday to let your voice be heard! Batgirl wins, 23 – 22 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, round three begins as we have the third round of the indie bracket. Very interested to see how that one will...
