A match up I felt was inevitable not this late in the tourney, but the odds of the two star crossed characters, who’s rights are owned by different companies, meeting up in the indie bracket had to happen. As they do, in fact, have a rich history. Here we are, the number eight seed, Red Sonja taking on the number fourteen seed, Conan the Barbarian! Red Sonja wins 11 to 5 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Just to keep track, here’s the current standings in the indie Bracket: Next week, the final semi final match up for Marvel, pitting two of the biggest underdogs in comicdom against each other. Who will come out on top?...

Another interesting match up on the indie side of things as the number four seed, Image’s Velvet: takes on the bracket buster of the tournament, Groo the Wanderer: Groo Wins Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. Full confession, I have never seen the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television show or read the current Dark Horse comic. I saw the original Kristy Swanson movie when it was in heavy rotation on HBO but that doesn’t prevent her from being the number five seed in the indie bracket: More full disclosure, I have not seen the latest Conan film starring the Rock. Sometimes movies like this are a tough sell for the entire family, maybe that’s why he’s only the number fourteen seed: Conan wins, 10 to 8 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Just to keep track, here’s the current standings in the Indie Bracket: Next week, back to Marvel for another favorite vs. underdog match up that I’m sure I will have no problem finding pictures of together and by saying so aloud, I have jinxed us...

This is the first match up I’m scared about. I have an imaginary horse in this battle and this will be the true test of how much influence this show has. In the final first round match up in the indie bracket, in this corner, the number eight seed, the She Devil with a Sword Red Sonja: She does battle with the number sixteen seed, the Red Hand of Doom himself, Hellboy: Red Sonja wins 18 to 5 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, the final first round Marvel match up, and I’ll be looking to find some sweet Scott Kolins art to represent this...

I say it every time it comes to one of the indie match up, and this one is no different, this is a battle I’d LOVE to see actually happen. First up, is the number six seed, lead of Robert Kirkman’s underrated and sometimes overshadowed hit Invincible Marc Grayson: Taking on the number fourteen seed, a man who until his recent crossover with Red Sonja I had never read in comic book featuring him, Conan the Barbarian: Conan wins 10-7 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, the sixth match up of Marvel characters may be a rare “these two have never appeared in the same book before” sort of...

This is why I love the indies. There is absolutely something out there for everyone. First up, the number five seed, arguably the property to take the reigns (pun intended) at Dark Horse in the absence of Star Wars, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: As she does battle with one of the longest running, most successful other media properties to ever grace a comic book page, the number thirteen seed, Sonic the Hedgehog: Buffy moves on 15 to 9 Perhaps you don’t want to contribute to the poll, that’s cool. You do your thing. You can tweet your choice. Just don’t forget the hashtag #LBHQuery so I can track them down easier and we’ll go from there! Next week, back to Marvel and another match up we’ve seen on the printed page, cosmic power taking on the power of a...
