What are you picking up this week? What are you most looking forward to?
I normally don’t read “dark” books, but I’ve really gotten to enjoy the story-telling in the graphic novel volume of “After-Life with Archie” vol. 1. It collects issues #1-5. Lots of emotional writing from the creative team of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Francesco Francavilla. But it’s not the book I’m most looking forward to reading. The comic that I’m most looking forward to reading happens to be … “Transformers vs. G. I. Joe” #1 by Tom Scioli and John Barber. How could it not, child of the 80’s that I am? Plus, Scioli has a cool backstory as to how he came aboard that project after almost leaving comics altogether.
