Hello. I”ve mentioned in the past how you are terrified to give any spoilers because of trade-waiters (the scum of the universe), and you did it again last week. Your review of Walking Dead boiled down to, ” That part where that things happened and then that other thing happened, that was great. Then when that thing happened to that other character, yeah, that was great, too” Like an old Chris Farley bit. Please, go back and listen with an objective ear and tell me I’m wrong. I would NOT buy Walking Dead based on that review. It could be perceived by some that you are on Kirkman’s payroll, and didn’t even read the book. I know you’re not, but it makes for frustrating listening. You did the same thing on your Original Sin review, all vague and no meat. But your Red Sonja review was perfect. You told me just enough to get me interested, but not enough to ruin it. So it is possible.
As for saving reviews for trade-waiters, imagine if you read the following movie review. ” Well, I’d tell you something that happens in Guardians of the Galaxy, but what if somebody is waiting to watch it it on Blu-ray ? I don’t want to spoil it for them. Come back in 3 months and I’ll tell you then.” You’d click off that guys page and never go back.
Here’s the thing, I like your show . I LOVE your show. I listen to a dozen or more podcast in the course of a week, (some of us read comics at work all week, some of us listen to grown men in their basement studios all week) and your show is the first comic podcast I listen to. The comradery. between you two is great, you do comic news, which nobody does, I always play along with the question of the week (in my head, at least). There is so much I love, that’s why I’m on here bitchin. I want your show to be The Perfect Show. And I know it’s your show, and if I don’t like it I should do my own damn podcast. Keep up the great work.
